Plaid Table Runner

 

What  better thing to do on this snow/icy/rain/whatever the weather is trying to decide to do day than crochet a pretty primitive looking table runner.

 

 

 

It is worked using 2 strands of thread together then dropping or adding colors as needed to make the design. 

 

It is worked in double crochet except for the accent thread which is single crochet

 

The worst part is keeping the thread untangled but the finished product is well worth it!!

Twin Cables Purse

 

A new pattern has just been added for sale in my Etsy, Craftsy and Ravelry stores. 

 

 

It is for a purse made out of nylon thread.  It uses 2 strands held together of LaEspiga #6 nylon thread.  The pattern features 2 cables in the design.  It works up pretty quick and easy although the thread is a bit on the heavy side making for a heavy purse.  The pattern includes instructions for a simple sewn lining and a magnetic clasp to fasten.

 

 

It is a very pretty thread and as you can see you can use different colors to accent parts of the purse.

Time sure flies!!!

 

 

It can't be February already!!!!!  It's been so busy lately with babysitting and a bunch of other things to keep up with and this little thing we had 2 weeks ago called a BLIZZARD there hasn't been much time to update this blog.

 

 

But in between all the stuff going on there has been crocheting going on as well....

 

it's just that it's been projects I can't talk about yet.....

 

Like the one started above.  To see more of this one you will have to wait until it is published later this year :)  Maybe the rest of the winter will slow down a little bit!!  I hope!! I'm not ready for the rush of spring yet!!
