Pennsylvania Farm Show

We made our yearly trip to the Pennsylvania Farm Show yesterday. 

 

 

The building is so pretty....

 

 

Someone does a great job on the butter sculpture

 

 

They have the nicest display of a farm in the one building.

 

This year they had an old combine "cutting" beans...

 

and a new one "shelling" corn

 

They actually have growing plants in the display!!

 

and make it look just like they are harvesting them. 

 

This old combine was from Gladhill's in Frederick. 

 

They have plants in all growing stages.

 

They even had the stubble just like a field would have. 

 

 

Then it was time for day dreaming.....

 

 

Rick checked out the price sticker on this tractor.....

 

 

Don't think it's going to be in the budget anytime soon..... Come on Lottery!!!

 

There wasn't much ice on the river this year.  Mostly in the middle of the river.

Another Crochet Card

 

Since I never got around to making  Barb a crochet birthday card of her two favorite Boxers I did it for Christmas.  She was very tickled with her card!!! 

Merry Crochet Christmas!!

 

Some new and some older crochet Christmas or winter crafts.  The Frosty Friends lighted snowman I made last winter and also the ornament.  The candy dish and the trees just recently were made.  The runner is  design from a few years ago.  Have a few more thoughts in mind for decorating the trees but in all I'm happy with the patterns.

Endless Diamonds Shawl

 Happily Hooked Magazine, Issue #9, December 2014

The latest edition of Happily Hooked Magazine went online yesterday.  Sooooo many beautiful and cute designs!! I was especially happy to have my Endless Diamonds Shawl included in this issue.

 

This time I was behind Barb's camera and she did the modeling for me... And did an excellent job of it!!

This shawl also would make a great table runner pattern as well.

Happy Thanksgiving !!

 

Many many things to be thankful for always !!

Especially all the crochet ideas that pop into my head.  The most recent are this silly turkey, candy corn and pumpkins.

And now for the rest of the story.....

As previously mentioned things are not always going to be what they appear to be.....

 

So here is what the black "doily" turned into......

 

The snowman's hat which is a candy holder!!  I need to tweak the pattern a little bit but over all I like how it turned out.

While waiting on a load of beans yesterday I was doing some crochet in the truck
