I made this doily recently for a good friend who happens to be Rick's cousin. She saw it on the internet and I saw that it was from a vintage crochet book from 1946. I thought it looked familiar so I got out my vintage books and sure enough the pattern was in it!! It worked up pretty fast in size 30 thread with a size 10 hook. It took less than a ball of thread!! Rick wanted me to keep it and enter it in the fair but I wanted to get it to her before anything happened to it!! She is very happy with her doily and I was very happy to be able to make it for her!!
